So, I'm receiving a prompt when I attempt to accept a trade or post an item in the market.
Please Verify Your Computer- Oops! Prompy10
If I select 'Verify Now'
Please Verify Your Computer- Oops! Prompt10

I have tried going to 'Settings' 'User Settings' 'Security Email' and then submitting a new email to verify, plus I tried re-submitting the email multiple times, and then opening my email and clicking the 'Verify' link that was sent to me.

What is strange is that, somehow this process I need to take (to verify my computer) simply worked last week while I was in another city.
Maybe I have no idea how this works.. Why can't I sell items in my hometown No  lol ...
There must be a way! Or something I am not understanding fully.

Please help!
Any suggestions?
Idea

Ah, yes, the verification bug. My worst nightmare.

So I've been doing some pretty extensive research on this exact issue, and I've come to the conclusion that it isn't the client's fault -- the problem is Windows. Let me explain.
Very recently, I set up a Mac virtual machine. In Layman's terms, a computer in a computer. The reason I wanted to do this is so I could test the differences between the Windows and Mac ourWorld client.

With Windows, any time you try to sell an item or do any action that requires verification, you'll end up getting the "Oops" error upon the client trying to send an email. Mac, however, does not do this and actually sends the verification, but not to any email that is hosted by Aol or Yahoo, for whatever reason. I mean, it might, but it didn't for me. The security email verification goes through on both Windows and Mac to any email host.

Seeing as how the Mac client can, in fact, send verification and get people on their way to being able to use their accounts, I wanted to test the Windows client using files from the Mac client, more specifically, the mobile_ow_stub.swf file the ourWorld client runs off of. That .swf file is the entire game of ourWorld, and it was used back when it was released for mobile platforms, given the name. Going back on topic, upon testing it on Windows... verification still gave me the "Oops" error. So at the end of the day, if you're running Windows, your only chance of verifying your computer is through the security email verification, which is very shoddy on when it wants to work. I don't understand how an issue this rampant has not been given an official response and to this day has not been patched out and fixed. Unless you have a friend who plays on a Mac who's able to help verify your computer, your only option is via security email verification.

Yeah, I wish it was better news, like it actually working on Windows, but I guess that's just how it is.

What makes it worse is the support staff are currently responding only to "critical issues", however I have not received any response back in regards to questions about the constant Windows client crashes and the verification issues. Rolling Eyes Maybe sometime down the road it'll be worked on, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I sure hope so!
I would support the staff and it's company whole heartedly if we were given more insight on who they are, and what they do.

Help goes a long way

I think part of the problem with staffing right now is due to the lack of staff. Currently there's only one person answering tickets, there's good ol' Czarcasm, and not very many others.

Hopefully things will be addressed sooner rather than later.

Hey Dovah, what image did you use to boot up the Mac VM? Most ones I try to use are corrupt or incomplete.

I'm running my Hackintosh VM using a macOS High Sierra 10.13 image. It's a bit of an oldie, however I don't need it to be new; I just needed a macOS that worked. The thing about High Sierra that gave me any issues was the actual installation step itself, where I needed to load the terminal and run the date command to change the date to 2016, then it ran perfectly fine.

I originally was going to use OS X El Capitan, however it knew of my antics and told me "no". Crying or Very sad
