Try refreshing the client, sometimes the client can get a bit congested. Clearing your cache might help, too, if you're running on a Windows 10 computer.
For Windows, the cache is located at:
%AppData%/Roaming/com.flowplay.ourWorld.
Remove the entire folder and then re-launch the client and see if that works. Clearing the cache will allow the client to write new data instead of overwriting pre-existing old data.
